Thomas & Friends Classic (s5)

Cranky thinks Thomas and Percy are just annoying little bugs, but he soon changes his opinion when they come to the rescue following a devastating storm.

The little engines are shocked when very rude trucks are hired to do some of their work. The trucks think they are faster and more efficient but soon end up crashed and broken.

Gordon's boasting comes to a sudden halt at the opening of a new station. Gordon has a nice surprise when he returns to the station after coming back from the works.

It was Lady Hatt's birthday and Sir Topham Hatt had arranged a special party for her. Dressed in his best suit, disaster strikes as he tries to get to the party on time.

Thomas gets very dirty working in the coal yard and is angry with James and his boasting about getting a shiny new coat of paint.

Gordon has to pick up a special visitor but gremlins strike and the journey is full of adventure and surprises. Thomas gets to meet a real live gremlin of a surprising kind!

George the Steamroller is very rude to the engines while he is ripping out an old branch line to make way for a new road and nearly causes a nasty accident with Gordon.

Percy is excited about the best dressed station competition on the island. A stray ram saves Maithwaite station's chances of winning and gets a very tasty treat as a reward.

Percy gets put upon at the mine when the freight cars swerve out of control and into disaster. Thomas and Duck come to the rescue and Percy gets a special reward for his bravery.

Toby gets trapped inspecting the dam above the village which is in danger of flooding. Harold comes to Toby's rescue just as the old tram engine is floating down the river.

Edward scares Henry with his stories about Ghosts in the mist. A strange ghostly figure near the viaduct saves Henry from certain danger.

Bill and Ben, the tank engine twins, are worried when they hear that a new diesel is going to help them work in the Quarry.

Stepney needs a change and goes to help at the Quarry. On the way back home he gets lost in the fog and nearly ends up as scrap. The Fast Controller arrives in the nick of time!

Toby, The Fat Controller and his grandchildren make an exciting discovery at a remote part of the Island. Toby meets an "Old Warrior" and they soon become firm friends.

Thomas fries up a tasty breakfast when fish land on his boiler. Henry teases Thomas about his fishy smell but is sorry he did when he finds himself in a fishy situation himself.

A workman's hut catches fire and Thomas and Percy use some quick thinking to put out the flames. An abandoned coach found in the scrap yard makes the perfect home for the workmen.

Children ask Thomas for his help when their playground gets closed down. But Thomas gets distracted by rumours that Harold is going to replace some of the engines.

Oliver is sent to work on the mail train after causing confusion in the yard with some freight cars, and runs into trouble on his first journey.

Mrs Kyndley has forgotten to get a good luck package for her daughter. Percy is rewarded for being a Really Useful Engine by helping to put together the best package ever.

Lady Hatt is glad to have a break from railroads when they take a trip down the river. But soon enough they discover that engines are Really Useful.

Percy is lonely and bored working in the coalmines with only the freight cars for company. Percy's wish for excitement and a surprise soon comes true and the chase is on!

James is happy when he helps his friend Mrs Kyndley by taking her to the fairground, where she is the guest of honour.

The freight cars play a trick on Toad after he complains about going backwards all the time. Toad soon realises that going backwards is a way of being Really Useful.

Duncan teases Peter Sam about letting his freight cars crash but Peter Sam gets back at him when Rusty tells Duncan a story about ghostly happenings below the viaduct.

Gordon tells Thomas that only big engines like him can deal with snow. Rusty tells Thomas a story about the time Skarloey was buried in the snow.

At the Quarry, high in the mountains, a mysterious boulder is shaken loose and chases the engines down the line, nearly squashing poor Percy!
